You deserve a space that you feel comfortable and creative in, a space you’re proud to show off and host from, a space that is your favourite room in the house. We can help you with that. When you work with us, we will design a kitchen that works for YOU and your unique style and needs. From the very first phone call, we will be invested in your project. As a full service design firm, we will take care of everything from concept, to space planning, to design, to construction project management. Here’s how it works:
1) Consultation phase
After our initial discovery phone call, we will come to your house and spend up to 2 hours with you in your kitchen. In this time we will get to know each other and you can walk us through everything that works and doesn’t work in this space. We will brainstorm possible layout options, colour and appliance choices, and the overall aesthetic and style. Cost for consultation: $500
2) Design phase
A couple of days after the consultation, we will send a follow-up email with everything we discussed, and an initial proposal/scope-of-work estimate. At this point we will create a mood board for your kitchen project - this will help us further narrow down an overall design style. The cost for producing the mood board is $500. Once we are both happy with this and everyone is on the same page, we can proceed with the design! A retainer will be collected, and a contract will be signed. We work on an hourly fee schedule ($150/hr), billed every 2 weeks. We allow up to 2 rounds of revisions after our initial design proposal.
3) Implementation phase
Once the design proposal is signed off on, and everyone is happy, we set to work rounding up a contractor and any trades we may need for your project. These professionals are chosen by us, but hired and paid for by you directly. We organize a trade day for us and the contractor and trades people to come to your house and discuss the project. After this we will place orders for everything - this includes millwork, appliances, and all fixtures and finishes. We will manage the project and keep you informed of progress with weekly check-in emails.
